Every Picture Tells a Story
Feb. 3rd, 2022 07:51 pmFor Nexus prompt 3. Forever is a long time. and 101 Ways To Say I Love You 27 "You're so beautiful."
"Hold still now, sötnos. I'm just getting the pencil outline of your body onto the canvas..."
Erik aligning his pencil with the easel he now had propped up in front of him inside their hotel room. Robert was now posing for the young Swede for a portrait but not just any old portrait. No, this was life drawing. The Brit was in the nude. He had struck a pose which was Robert sitting on the couch with his hand behind his head in a relaxed position. Erik, planning on painting the driver so that he could hang the picture up in their room once he'd finished.
"This will last forever, Fluffig. Once it's done. You're so beautiful and sexy I had to paint you like this."
The young Swede giggling from behind the easel now mixing up his paints to the right shades and colours. Robert slightly rolling his eyes but smiling trying not to move from where he was positioned. He was doing this because Erik had been poking at him for a while. Was it out of love? Of course it was. The Brit wouldn't usually do this sort of thing---ever. But Erik was different.
"Forever is a long time, Erik. Do you think it will last that long?"
Robert asking the question just as Erik was fastening his paint apron, which was absolutely covered in paint splotches of all different colours. He was wearing the entire colour spectrum on his apron almost like a moving living painting himself. The boy was messy and art, well, it was a messy hobby. Creativity was something that gave a person experience to express themselves and Erik was doing just that.
"Of course it will last forever. Just like us!"
There was a bittersweet side to those words because Erik knew Robert was a lot older than him and would likely die before him. But the Swede wasn't dwelling on that because now he was applying his brush to canvas, painting broad strokes, painting Robert with an expert eye. Robert not moving while trying to ignore a slight itch he had on the middle of his chest. The Swede squinted at his painting as he leaned out from the canvas to line his paint brush up with Robert's naked figure. What a handsome man he was indeed. Robert wondered how long he'd have to sit like this but asking might sound rude as if he wasn't interested in indulging his lover with his hobby. No. This was their day together and he had promised the younger man.
"Such nice muscles you have, Fluffig. Your fuzzy chest---I will use this colour for that."
Busying himself with the different colours, Erik was well into his painting while Robert dwelled on other thoughts as he sat staring at the man he loved. He wouldn't be around forever, no one would be. The sad fact that he would be an old man well before Erik's time brought a nagging ache to the pit of Robert's stomach. He was double the boy's age and that meant he would die before Erik. There was nothing more to be said on that. The main thing was to live life everyday and enjoy every moment they had together.
"It's coming along nicely now---just a little longer."
The only sounds coming from the room were the light brushing sounds as Erik painted Robert, dipping his brush into the thick paints and filling the canvas with creativity.

An hour later and Erik was beaming from ear to ear. He had completed his painting and was now wiping his hands on a cloth whilst beckoning Robert to get up out of his chair to look at the painting. The Brit getting up and slipping on his pants whilst gazing around the back of the easel to see what Erik had done. It was good. Really good. A decent likeness all done in oil paints. The Swede pressing a kiss to the Brit's cheek because Robert was smiling, enjoying what he saw. It was clear Erik had poured his heart and soul into the piece because it was all about love.
"It's very good. I like how you painted my legs and my torso. Although, I don't think I'm that toned."
Robert laughed softly, shaking his head as his blond curls bobbed a little. Erik though---he loved the way his Brit looked as he hugged him tightly. A masterpiece! Now, they could frame it and hang it inside their hotel room.
